Beachy Refund & Cancellation Policy

This Refund and Cancellation Policy outlines how users of the Beachy mobile application (“App”) can cancel bookings and request refunds for services purchased through the platform. This policy applies to all users, including residents of the European Union and the United Kingdom, and should be read alongside our Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
1. About Beachy
Beachy is a mobile marketplace that connects Guests with Hosts offering seaside accommodations, yachts, and beach-related activities. While Beachy facilitates booking and payment, each rental or service is provided directly by the Host.
2. Guest Cancellations
Each listing on Beachy includes a Host-specific cancellation policy, selected from the following standard options:
• Flexible: Full refund if cancelled at least 48 hours before check-in
• Moderate: 50% refund if cancelled at least 5 days before check-in
• Strict: No refund once booked
You will see the applicable policy on the listing before confirming your booking. Refunds are calculated based on the time of cancellation and the Host's policy.
If you are a resident of the EU or spanUK, please note: under applicable consumer protection laws, you generally have the right to withdraw from online purchases within 14 days. However, this right does not apply to bookings for time-specific services such as travel, accommodation, or leisure activities once confirmed.
3. Host Cancellations
If a Host cancels your booking:
• You will automatically receive a full refund, and
• We will assist you in rebooking an alternative listing if available.
4. Mismatched Listings or Inaccessible Properties
If the accommodation or service:
• Is significantly different from its description/photos, or
• Is inaccessible or unusable upon arrival
You must contact Beachy within 24 hours of check-in via the in-app Help Center or at support@beachy.com.
Beachy may, at its discretion:
• Offer a full or partial refund, or
• Help you rebook a similar listing at no additional cost
We may request supporting evidence, such as photos or videos, to assess your request.
5. Refund Method & Payment Providers
Payments for all bookings are handled via:
• Apple App Store (for iOS users), or
• Google Play (for Android users)
All refunds are processed in accordance with their respective payment policies. Beachy does not directly control refund approval or timing once payment has been made through those platforms. Refunds will be made onto the original mode of payment and will be processed within 10 to 45 days, depending on the issuing bank of the credit card.
We will assist you in requesting a refund where applicable but cannot guarantee refund approval for payments handled externally.
6. Exceptions to the Right of Withdrawal (EU/UK Legal Notice)
Under Article 16 of the EU Consumer Rights Directive 2011/83/EU and Regulation 28 of the UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, you do not have a right to withdraw from a booking once it has been confirmed, if it involves:
• Accommodation, transport, or leisure activities
• Provided on a specific date or period
• Booked remotely via digital platform
By confirming a booking, you expressly agree that service delivery begins immediately and waive your statutory 14-day cancellation right.
This platform is operated by a UAE-based company and complies with applicable United Arab Emirates laws.
7. When Refunds May Be Denied
We reserve the right to deny refund requests when:
• The cancellation occurred outside the permitted window
• The Host's cancellation policy does not allow for a refund
• The complaint is unsubstantiated or fraudulent
• There is abuse of the platform or terms of service
